Barbados is Blooming (Little Libraries)

Project Overview
The Barbados Is Blooming ‘Little Libraries’ Initiative aims to get reading back into Barbadian communities following a decline during the covid-19 pandemic period. The project, which places free little libraries in communities across the island is an initiative of the Prince Godwill D. Fomusoh Foundation Inc, in collaboration with project sponsors, the Massy Foundation and the Community Development Department. Additional support is provided by the Barbados Community College, who built the physical libraries. The project was launched on Tuesday, 7th November, 2023 at the Parkinson Resource Centre in the Pine, St Michael, were the first library was installed.
